Day to Day Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Delhi- Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore)

Assemble at the Delhi Cantt Railway station to begin this royal journey. Enjoy a traditional welcome ceremony as the formalities are completed. Get aboard the luxurious Deccan Odyssey. Savor your welcome drink and settle yourself in your designated cabin as the train begins its journey for the first destination Sawai Madhopur to meet the majestic tiger in its natural habitat at the Ranthambore National Park.

Day 02: Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore)

The train will reach Sawai Madhopur famous as the home of the tiger. After having a sumptuous breakfast onboard the train set out to see this majestic animal in all its glory. Participate in wildlife safari for the day in the Tiger Reserve. Other than tigers you can spot nilgai antelope, chinkara gazelles, sambhar deer, chital, leopard, crocodile, jungle fowl, quails, partridges, crested serpent eagle, flycatchers, woodpeckers, among others. After spending the morning in lap of Mother Nature return to the train for lunch. Then, proceed for a village tour and intermingle with locals. Later, enjoy your high-tea at the Sawai Madhopur Lodge, which served as a royal hunting ground for the former royal family of Jaipur. Return to the train as it makes its way for Agra. Overnight stay and dinner onboard the train. 

Day 03: Agra

On the 3rd day, the Deccan Odyssey arrives in Agra, famous as the city of Taj. Have your breakfast on-board followed by a city tour of Agra. Explore the beautiful structures built during the Moghul era. The first visit of the day is to the enchanting Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, a white-marble mausoleum also well-known as the symbol of eternal love. Later in the day visit another popular monument Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb, also known as Baby Taj. This tomb belongs to Ghiyas Beg and was specially made by his daughter Nur Jahan, years before the Taj Mahal. Afterwards explore the popular Agra Fort. Later, shop at the local markets or opt for massages in a spa. Return to the warmth of the luxury train and stay overnight. Dinner and overnight stay onboard the train. 

Day 04: Jaipur

Today the train arrives in Jaipur, the vivacious capital city of the Royal State of Rajasthan. Popularly known as the Pink City, Jaipur is home to some extraordinary palaces, forts and more. Once you have your breakfast, leave for Amer Fort. This is a major attraction of the city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was built in the 17th century by Maharaja Mansingh. While on the way to Amer Fort, you can stop at other attractions of Jaipur, such as Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Jantar Mantar. Hawa Mahal is a classical spot, with intricately placed windows that look like a honeycomb. Jantar Mantar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and houses world’s largest stone sundial. Lunch will be at city hotel. Later, indulge in shopping at the diverse interesting bazaars of this city wherein you can get some intricate handicrafts, Indian drapery, imitation jewelry, gems, like nowhere else in the world. Return to the comforts of your luxury train, have dinner and stay overnight as it leaves for the next destination- Udaipur. 

Day 05: Udaipur

Today, the train reaches Udaipur, also known as one of India's most romantic cities. After a royal breakfast onboard the train depart for a city sightseeing tour. Explore some of most beautfil locations of this "City of Lakes’. Visit the City Palace and later Fateh Prakash Palace, known for housing the stunning Crystal Gallery, owning world's single largest private collection of crystal. Then, take a ferry on the Lake Pichola in order to reach Jagmandir Palace. This is where lunch is to be served, as you enjoy traditional Rajasthani folklore through the Tabla and rhythm of Jal Tarang. The palace dates back to 17th century and looks upon a breath-taking view of the Aravalis. Return to Deccan Odyssey and relax for some time. Later, leave for a walking tour of the city. Board the train in the evening as we head towards Vodadara. Overnight stay and dinner onboard the train.

Day 06: Vadodara

On the 7th day, the train enters Vadodara, the city of the Gaekwads. After having a delectable breakfast, indulge in sightseeing, including city's popular attractions such as the beautiful Jama Masjid. You also get a chance to discover the historic city of Gujarat, Champaner, founded in the 8th century. Here you visit the World Heritage site of Pavagadh Archaeological Park. The last visit of the day is to the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum. After the city tour enjoy an enchanting folk dance performance at the Laxmi Vilas Palace as you savor your dinner which includes an assortment of traditional Gujarati dishes straight from the kitchen of the royalty. Overnight stay on-board the train.

Day 07: Aurangabad- Ellora Caves

On the seventh day of the tour, you reach Aurangabad, the Mughal city named after its Great Emperor Aurangzeb. Enjoy an unhurried breakfast at leisure. The train arrives in Aurangabad as the lunch gets served. Post Lunch take a scenic drive to Ellora Caves (UNESCO World Heritage Site). This consists of 34 rock-cut shrines that represent Hindu, Buddhist and Jain forms of art, which date way back to the 4th and 5th century. Return to the delights of your luxury train once you are done exploring Ellora Caves. There are many more monuments in this city like Daulatabad fort and Bibi-ka-Makbara .Enjoy the sunset at Mumbai-Hi in the evening, followed by dinner. Overnight stay onboard the train.

Day 08: Mumbai

Upon arrival in Mumbai, complete the checkout formalities, after breakfast. De-board. The journey ends here.

  • 80% of the ticket value 45 days before the departure date




  • Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Email and subsequently confirmed by
  • letter to the Central Reservation Division
  • No cancellation on cancelling 60 days prior to the departure date
  • Retention of 20% of ticket value on cancelling 59 – 45 days prior to the departure date
  • Retention of 50% of ticket Value on cancelling 44 – 30 days prior to the departure date
  • Retention of 100% of ticket value on cancelling 29 days prior to the departure date


No show/ En route termination of tour/amendment:


  • No Show - In case of No Show / Non-arrival of the guest, no refund or adjustment in future travel will be possible. The whole amount shall be treated as forfeited. 
  • En route termination of tour - In case of termination of tour by the guest, for any reasons, no refund or adjustment for future travel will be possible. The amount for unused portion of the tour shall be treated as forfeited. 
  • Amendment - Is only possible under the circumstances like Natural Disaster / Natural Calamity or Serious Health Problem's (this needs to be supported by doctor's certificate) and is subject to availability. No refunds are possible and every case be decided on merits on a case to case basis.
