The 8 days and 7 nights 'Indian Soiree' itinerary will take you on a whirlwind tour across some of the best destinations in North, West and Central India. Starting from Mumbai, the week long journey will cover the famous 'Ajanta Caves', known for its Buddhist murals and paintings, Sanchi, famous for its Buddhist monuments, Sawai Madhopur, which is home to the Ranthambore National Park, Jaipur, the famous 'Pink City' of India, and Agra, known for its Buddhist era monuments. Day to Day Itinerary:

Day 01: Mumbai (Arrival)


Upon your arrival at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, leave by road for an enchanting journey towards the rock-cut caves temples of Ajanta. These cave temples are famous for Buddhist sculptures and mural paintings. Dinner and overnight stay on board the train.



Day 02: Ajanta Caves (sightseeing)


Upon your arrival at Jalgaon Railway Station, leave by road for Ajanta Caves, a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its Buddhist sculptures and mural paintings. These Buddhist sculptures and mural paintings depict the life of Buddha. Post sightseeing, return back to the train for dinner and overnight stay. The train will move towards its next destination-Sanchi.



Day 03: Sanchi


On the 3rd day, in the morning, arrive at the Buddhist city of Sanchi. Later, visit Sanchi, the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site and admire the well-preserved Buddhist stupas whose construction started during the reign of Mauryan Emperor Ashoka. These monuments were built from the 3rd century BC and the 12th century AD. Post sightseeing, return on board Deccan Odyssey for dinner and overnight stay as the train chugs its way towards Sawai Madhopur.



Day 04: Sawai Madhopur


On the 4th day, you will enter the precincts of Sawai Madhopur, home to the famous Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Once the private hunting ground of the Maharaja of Sawai Madhopur, today, Ranthambore National Park is a place for wildlife sightseeing. The day 4 is scheduled with two wildlife safaris at Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, famous for its elusive wild cats. Post wildlife excursion, return to the train for dinner and overnight stay. The train will move towards its next destination, Jaipur.



Day 05: Jaipur


On the 5th day, you will enter Jaipur, the historic capital of Rajasthan. Jaipur is also known as Pink City as its buildings & monuments are painted in Pink color. Here you will visit the forts and palaces of Jaipur along with a walk through the colorful bazaars of Jaipur. In the evening, enjoy a special dinner in Rajasthan. Stay overnight on board the train.



Day 06: Fatehpur Sikri-Agra


On the 6th day, in the morning, visit the Fatehpur Sikri, a famous masterpiece built entirely of red sandstone. Later, continue your journey towards the iconic Taj Mahal, famous as one of the 'Seven Wonders of the World'. Dinner and overnight stay on board the train.



Day 07: Agra


On the 7th day, in the morning, explore the architectural gems of the Mughal Empire such as the Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb and the impressive Agra Fort. Post sightseeing in Agra, return back to the train for dinner and overnight stay.



Day 08: New Delhi


On the 8th day, Deccan Odyssey will drop you at the Delhi Cantt Railway Station. Today, your journey will come to a halt.

  • Presidential Suite can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children

  • Government Service tax of 3.09% is additional and will be charged extra on the published tariff
  • Prices are subject to change incase of any amendment in the routing or other hikes such as fuel, taxes etc.
  • Child rates are applicable from 6 to 12 years.


Terms and Conditions:


  • 20% of the ticket value at the time of booking
  • 80% of the ticket value 45 days before the departure date



  • Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Email and subsequently confirmed by letter to the Central Reservation Division
  • No cancellation on cancelling 60 days prior to the departure date
  • Retention of 20% of ticket value on cancelling 59 – 45 days prior to the departure date
  • Retention of 50% of ticket Value on cancelling 44 – 30 days prior to the departure date
  • Retention of 100% of ticket value on cancelling 29 days prior to the departure date



No show/ En route termination of tour/amendment:

  • No Show - In case of No Show / Non-arrival of the guest, no refund or adjustment in future travel will be possible. The whole amount shall be treated as forfeited. 
  • En route termination of tour - In case of termination of tour by the guest, for any reasons, no refund or adjustment for future travel will be possible. The amount for unused portion of the tour shall be treated as forfeited. 
  • Amendment - Is only possible under the circumstances like Natural Disaster / Natural Calamity or Serious Health Problem's (this needs to be supported by doctor's certificate) and is subject to availability. No refunds are possible and every case be decided on merits on a case to case basis.
