Davos Platz / St. Moritz - Zermatt

The Glacier Express is undoubtedly Switzerland's best known train. The 181 mile (290km) trip from Zermatt to St Moritz (and vice versa) lasts around eight hours winding its way through some of Europe's most dramatic and beautiful scenery. Whether summer or winter, the views from start to finish are breathtaking.

Winter Season -6 Dec 2025 – 1 May 2026
During the winter timetable, the Glacier Express runs daily between St. Moritz and Zermatt with two morning departures.

Summer Season- 2 May 2026 – 10 Oct 2026

In summer, the Glacier Express expands to two full-route daily services in each direction.

There are no Glacier Express services on the full St. Moritz to Zermatt route during this period.
This is a regular annual break between the main summer and winter schedules.

• Seat reservation is obligatory. Charge of reservation CHF 43.00
• Meals are also available on board the train at an additional charge but have to booked in advance.
