The Qinghai-Tibet railway is the highest altitude railway in the world. You'll witness thousands of miles of unrivalled landscapes. Guangzhou-Lhasa train is one of the longest train routes to Lhasa. Taking 53 hours, it runs cross 7 provinces and an autonomous region and stops at 12 cities. It can be said that it crosses half of China. Therefore, riding on train, you can appreciate the contrasting landscapes of China from south to the north, east to the west. Trains from Guangzhou to Lhasa are run daily, and like all trains to Tibet, they have all the facilities you would expect. It departs every other day at 11:45 from Guangzhou Train Station, and arrives at Lhasa Railway Station at 16:19 on the third day after over 53 hours covering a distance of 4980 kilometers
