The Qinghai-Tibet railway is the highest altitude railway in the world. You'll witness thousands of miles of unrivalled landscapes. At present, there is no train originating from Xian to Lhasa, but there are several trains that make stops in Xian, such as the trains from Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing to Lhasa. Xi’an Railway Station remains the fourth largest travel departure and arrival station in China. A big reason contributing to this figure is the unique historical charm of this ancient city and the highly developed railway hub linking to major cities across China. We suggest you arrive at the Xi’an Station early to line up to be checked to board the train.
